Q

Why should I choose Connecticut Valley Homes to build my new home?

A

Since 1981, we have been chosen by over 1600 clients to design and build a new home for their family. Many of these clients have returned to build a second home with us because of the level of service they received, the comfort and quality their home provides and the warranties that protect their investment. We offer a fixed price contract fully approved and authorized by the families we build for before construction begins. We have a long standing A+ rating from the BBB, we are a recognized industry leader and winner of prestigious awards from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Home Builder and Remodeler’s Association (HBRA) and the Modular Home Builders Association (MHBA).

Q

How is a home built offsite using modular construction different than a home built onsite?

A

The short answer: it's not. Both types of homes are built to the exact same building codes. Both types of homes are "stick built." They are both built one board at a time and must pass all local codes and go through all of the same inspections. The difference is that modular construction happens offsite and then the modules are transported to the site and assembled on your building lot. Standing side by side, a home built onsite is indistinguishable from a home built offsite. To learn more about the added benefits of modular construction click here.

Q

Aren’t all homes built using modular construction boxy, square and boring?

A

Years ago, that was true.  But today's homes that are built offsite look exactly how you want them to look.  Everything from the layout to the windows, doors, exterior cladding and finishing touches throughout can be customized.  If you don’t find a floor plan you like on our website, our talented and experienced design team will create a plan and blueprints for your new home that fit your location, needs, lifestyle and budget.

Q

Do you sell land or offer financing?

A

We refer these services to our trusted advisors in those specific fields. We have long standing relationships with realtors and lenders and would be happy to put you in touch with them.

Q

How do we select all of the features and finishing touches for our new home?

A

The easy way … Our Design Center is a unique space that allows you to make all your selections in one convenient location.  Work with our Design Center expert to fill your home with personal style. From flooring to cabinets, exterior cladding to interior trim, you can mix and match your way through the latest trends in homebuilding.

Q

What kind of warranty do you offer?

A

In addition to the one year “Floor System to Roof Peak” guarantee required of all builders, we also include a 10-year Home Buyers Warranty.  The individual product warranties for the brand name materials in your home typically have a longer warranty period. All new homes (site built and modular) will settle slightly during the first year. We include a follow up service visit one year after you move in to make any final adjustments. Most of our business comes from referrals and your satisfaction is very important to us!

Our offices will be closed Monday, December 23rd through Wednesday, January 2nd. We'll be back and ready to assist you during our regular business hours starting on Thursday, January 2nd.
